As a friendly reminder genetic testing requires a prior authorization.  If you are sending your patients to a lab for blood draws or drawing the blood in your office to send out for genetic testing, please be advised that all testing must have a prior authorization, whether being done at an In or Out of Network lab.  In most instances, the ordering physician should be the responsible entity to obtain the prior authorization.

If you are a lab, drawing blood for our members, please ensure you submit the appropriate prior authorization when required or prior to referring out to an out of network lab.
