Initial Enrollment Period

Your initial enrollment period (IEP) will be unique to you depending on your birthday. The initial enrollment period lasts seven months: the three months before your birthday, the month of your birthday, and the three months following your birthday.

Annual Enrollment Period
(October 15 – December 7)

The Annual Election Period runs from October 15 through December 7 each year. During this time, known as the "AEP," you can change plans or enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan for the first time. Coverage for enrollment changes takes effect on January 1.
