Electronic Submission Requirements for Pharmacy Prior Authorization Requests
9/30/2014Effective November 1, 2014, PacificSource Medicare and PacificSource Community Solutions will require that all pharmacy prior authorization requests be submitted electronically through our InTouch for Providers secure web portal. This change is being implemented to streamline the prior authorization process.
Our current PacificSource Medicare and PacificSource Community Solutions fax numbers (541) 382-4225 and (866) 805-5750 will be disabled on November 1. After December 1, any attempt to submit a fax to these numbers will not be delivered.
Benefits of this change include:
- Ability for the provider to monitor the progress/status of the request online
- Faster response time
- Reduction in time spent administering pharmacy prior authorizations
